Southwest Users Group (SWUG) Scholarship Award

NM SWUG Scholarship Instructions and Application

The NM SWUG Scholarship will fund three students per year to present a paper at the annual Southwest Users Group meeting. The $1,500 scholarship will support the students’ travel and related expenses for the conference.

To be considered for the award, students must submit:
- An application
- An abstract of the paper they intend to present*
- Two (2) letters of support to the NMGIC Scholarship Committee (see address below).

Eligibility:
- Must be a student attending an institution of higher learning in New Mexico.
- Must be utilizing geographic information technology in their research.

Award:
$1,500 to cover travel, lodging, registration and meals.

*Students whose papers are not accepted for presentation at the conference will not be eligible for the scholarship.
