Instructors: Stephen Lime and Pericles Nacionales Stephen Lime is currently working for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR), MIS Bureau, as the Data & Applications Manager. Previously he worked as an Internet Applications Analyst for the DNR and as a Researcher at the University of Minnesota (UMN), Department of Forest Resources Remote Sensing Lab. Steve has a background in GIS and remote sensing and specializes in the development of Internet GIS applications. He is the lead developer of the OpenSource Internet GIS system MapServer. Pericles Nacionales is a graduate student in the Conservation Biology program at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. He has a general interest in the use of information technology in conservation and management, particularly the use of web mapping in a public participatory process. Perry has been using Mapserver since 1998 and has created a MapServer tutorial for beginners. He is currently maintaining a precompiled MapServer binary archive for Windows. He has experience in giving hands-on workshops and has presented technical workshops in the ESIP federation meetings.
